License Verification

Online verification for licensees of the Kentucky Board of Veterinary Examiners (KBVE) can be completed at the Commonwealth’s Active License Directory, which includes a Kentucky map, or through the Online License Verification website.

Veterinarians and other board licensees who wish to have a letter of licensure verification / good standing issued to another jurisdiction must pay the $10 fee and submit any required forms to the Board’s office. License verification can take up to 30 days, depending on the Board’s other work, so please plan ahead.

To expedite the license verification process for licensees, fees can be paid online through the Board’s eServices portal. If the receiving jurisdiction accepts electronic verifications, an email address for that jurisdiction can be entered during the payment process, and the letter will be generated and sent automatically. If a paper letter or other forms are required by the receiving jurisdiction, please email Vet@ky.gov with your request after making payment, and the board will issue the requested documents.

If you are a licensee unable to log in to the eServices portal, please contact Vet@ky.gov or call 502-782-0273 for assistance.
